Innovation, digitalization, and local presence: the keywords for the future of The Point
On September 23, The Point brought together its shareholders and licensees in Bologna to define the guidelines for the coming year. Here are the results achieved so far and the pillars that will shape the Group’s future.
The Mission
The Point’s goal is to become the leading provider of orthodontic devices in the domestic market and beyond. The Point’s strengths lie in its decades of industry know-how, its widespread presence across the country, and its Access web space, which enables an efficient and shared workflow among all the players involved. All of this allows The Point to remain at the forefront of the design and production of dental devices and the management of logistics flows.
The Structure
The Point is a network of dental laboratories specializing in orthodontics, bringing together their expertise, local presence, and organizational, production, and management capabilities to work toward the shared goal of customer satisfaction and patient well-being. The Group is organized around an operational headquarters, with two coordination managers and six shareholders. For the 2023–2024 season, The Point aims to create dedicated work areas to be assigned among shareholders, resources, and affiliates, with the goal of developing all operational divisions.
The Result
The Point currently has six brands, three licensed patents, a cloud platform for managing Arcangel projects, and a workstation for testing innovative solutions. Over the years, several collaboration agreements have been established with various organizations, including an agreement to supply orthodontic devices to the largest network of dental clinics in Italy, an agreement with Dr. Daniela Lupini for the distribution and training of the H.I.M.A.M.E. device, and an agreement with Lancer Global Dental Partner for the distribution of Air Mad devices. More recently, a partnership with 3Shape was finalized for the distribution of the TRIOS scanner throughout Italy, along with a close research and development collaboration on new therapeutic solutions with the University of Brescia, whose postgraduate school of orthodontics is directed by Prof. Domenico D’Alessandri. In addition, The Point works in partnership with the communications agency FiftyFive Media.
The Group
Being part of The Point network means having access to the Group’s innovation and to an ever-evolving technofactory focused on patient well-being. The Group’s laboratories receive ongoing training and development through dedicated tutoring for every stage of device manufacturing. The Point makes local presence one of its key strengths, enabling the Group to support clinicians throughout Italy with consistent pricing.
The Point Access
The heart of The Point project will be the The Point Access platform, which will enable all players within the Group to receive order files, validate manufacturing projects, and monitor workflows from The Point to the centers and from the centers to the customer.
